Special Meeting Minutes
Town Office Building September 24, 2010
Selectmen’s Conference Room 12:00 P.M.
First Selectman Mailhos called the meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectman
Millix & Blessington.
- Award Contracts for the River Road Athletic Complex
The Board reviewed the bids regarding the three projects, with the minutes containing recommendations from the Parks and Recreation Commission. Teri Gareau, Director of Parks and Recreation was called in briefly to answer questions regarding the Alternate I on the Earth Materials, and then on the design on the Picnic Pavilion.
- Supply of Earth Materials
Selectman Millix moved to award the Supply of Earth Materials to Becker Construction Co. in the
amount of $23,285.00 for the 8’ walking path based on the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Blessington moved to award the Phase II Construction contract to Putnam Welding & Equipment Repair, Inc. in the amount of $69,827.00 based on the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Selectman Millix seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Blessington moved to award the Picnic Pavilion to Enwood Structures, LLC for $14,529.00
based on the recommendations of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Selectman Millix Seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Millix moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:17 P.M.
Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
